NEW YORK, NY – January 25, 2024 – Full Out Creative is pleased to present Sunken Cathedral: a new musical, a two-performance-only live album concert. Both performances will take place at the new nightlife venue Red Eye NY (355 W 41st St, between 8/9 Aves).
With music by Chase Uram, book and lyrics by Taylor Fagins (Season 20 of American Idol), direction by Michelle Feza Kuchuk (Sons of the Prophet), and music direction by Patrick B. Phillips (Jagged Little Pill, The Wiz, Suffs), Sunken Cathedral will also be recorded live for eventual release on Spotify and Apple Music, extending the reach of this powerful new music around the world.
Inspired by Claude Debussy’s magical “La cathédrale engloutie” (the submerged cathedral) and the French folktale City of Ys, this 75-minute concert includes 11 songs from the full show that tell the story of a grief-driven father and daughter’s struggle to find love after the loss of the family’s matriarch.
With an alternative rock vibe, Sunken Cathedral is a musical journey of two contending worlds, exploring the unhoused community, dementia, and familial caretaking.

The powerhouse cast consists of A.D. Weaver (The Lieutenant), Naomi Latta, Jasmine Aiyana Garvin (Poker Face), Amanda Bailey (Watch Night), Elias Husiak (The Division), and Nick Barakos (Poupelle of Chimney Town).
Sunken Cathedral is produced by Kyle Beckley Abourizk (The Kite Runner, Submissions Only).
The creative team includes orchestrations by Mo Yeh, sound design by Josh Liebert (MJ the Musical, A Bronx Tale), video technical direction by Sandy Shelton (Full Out Creative), and keyboard programming by Jake Larimer.
The band consists of Patrick B. Phillips (conductor/keyboards), Beth Callen (guitars), Aamir Juman (bass), and Josh Roberts (drums/percussion).
Joanne Borts (Once, Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish) serves as production stage manager, with Matthew Zwiebel serving as music assistant.
The cast appears courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association, and musicians through Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians.
